Battleship in a minute
Battleship is a two-player guessing game on 10×10 grids. Place your fleet in secret, call shots at your opponent's grid, and sink every ship to win.
- Place your ships in secret on your own grid.
- Take turns firing at squares on your opponent's grid.
- Use hits and misses to work out where the rest of the fleet is.
- Win by sinking every enemy ship.
Spread your ships out to avoid obvious patterns. When searching, a checkerboard sweep finds ships faster, and after a hit, fire around it until the ship sinks.
What's at the table
The room has what two admirals need, so nobody has to set up a separate call or keep score on paper.
Invite in one tap
Share or copy the room link from the table. Your friend joins from their own browser, with no account.
See each other while you play
Start a video call from the table and each camera sits beside its player. Cameras are optional.
Chat and quick emoji
In a private room, send a message or a reaction without leaving the board.
Place ships your way
Drag each ship onto your grid and rotate it, or let Auto Place lay out the fleet for you. Nobody sees your grid but you.
Fleet status
Check which of your opponent's ships are still afloat and which you have sunk.
A running score
The table counts wins across games, and Play again starts the next battle straight away.
Start a room in seconds
Pick a name, create a room and send the link to a friend. Place your fleets, ready up and fire the first shot.
Before you play
Can I play Battleship online with one friend?
Yes. Create a private two-player game and send your friend the invite link. You each play from your own device and browser.
Can I practise Battleship against AI?
Yes. Solo mode gives you a computer-controlled opponent, so you can practise both fleet placement and targeting.
Can my opponent see where I placed my ships?
No. Your fleet grid is private. Your opponent only learns about it from the hits and misses of their own shots.
How do I win?
Sink every ship in your opponent's fleet before they sink yours. A ship sinks once every square it covers has been hit.
Do we need accounts or downloads?
No. Both players open the game in a modern browser, choose a name and start placing ships.
Is it free?
Yes. Private rooms, public matches and games against the AI are all free to play.
