Who Did It? in a minute
Who Did It? is a guessing game about the small things people have done. A "Have you ever…" question goes to the whole group, everyone answers yes or no in secret, and then everyone guesses who said yes. The reveal is where the laughs are, especially when the quietest person at the table turns out to be the one who did it.
How to play Who Did It?
You need three or more people and a list of "Have you ever" questions, plus paper and pens if you are playing in person. House rules vary, and this is the simplest version.
- Read a question. One player reads a question anyone could answer, such as "Have you ever fallen asleep in a cinema?"
- Answer in secret. Everyone, the reader included, writes Y or N on a slip and folds it.
- Guess who said yes. Each player writes down the names of everyone they think answered yes.
- Reveal together. On a count of three, everyone shows their slip or gives a thumbs up or down.
- Score your hunches. You get a point for every other player you called correctly, whether they said yes or no. Then the next player reads a question.
- Finish after a set number. Agree on how many questions to play. The highest score at the end wins.

Playing Who Did It? online
In the online room, everyone gets the same "Have you ever…" question. You tap Yes or No about yourself, then tick everyone you think said yes and tap Lock Guesses. Answers and guesses stay private until the reveal, which shows who said yes and how each guess turned out.
You score a point for every other player you judged correctly, so leaving a no unticked counts as much as spotting a yes. Answering and guessing each get 90 seconds. Rooms take 2 to 8 players (best with three or more), a match lasts 3, 5 or 8 questions, and questions come from Everyday, Playful and Adventurous sets or a mix.
Once the answers are out, the talking starts. In the same room just react out loud. Apart, switch on the built-in video call or keep FaceTime or Zoom running next to the room.
Tips and house rules
- Answer honestly. The game only works when the yes answers are real.
- Think about the person more than the question. Who loves to cook? Who is always running late?
- Don't forget the no answers. Correctly leaving someone unticked scores the same as ticking them.
- After the reveal, ask the yes players for the story behind it.
- For families, write your own questions about holidays, school or home life.
- Skip any question that makes someone uncomfortable. Nobody should feel put on the spot.
